...brings 11 years experience as a programme maker to the Fusion Films team.
An experienced programme-maker with over 10 years’ employment at Granada TV, his career began in the tape library in 1994. Two years later, Richard became a vision mixer and then moved over to production where he worked as a researcher for Granada Breeze.
In 2001, he joined the Regionals Department at Granada where he worked as a researcher, assistant producer and producer in the Newsroom & Regionals Dept, working on a variety of their productions from lifestyle to news and current affairs. His research work during “The Late Debate” (presented by Lucy Meacock) helped to earn the series an RTS award in 2002, and the drama reconstructions he directed for “Crimefile” were commended for helping police officers during their high profile murder investigations.
In 2003, Richard produced “Go North West” which saw Loyd Grossman back on TV, alongside Coronation Street’s Sue Nichols. The ratings of the series, over half a million viewers per programme, proved the series was a great success & it was brought back for 8 more episodes in 2004.
During 2005, Richard was headhunted to work on ITV’s “This Morning”. Working alongside Philip Schofield and Fern Britton, Richard was an assistant producer on the show, researching and looking after celebrities that included Catherine Tate, Neil Morrissey, Shayne Ward, G4, actress Prunella Scales, Robin Gibb, and son of Ozzy, Jack Osbourne.
More recently, Richard has been producing the popular "Countryfile" magazine show for the BBC in Birmingham.
Richard counts radio in his repertoire too, having produced and presented a half-hour weekly magazine programme for BBC GMR, for five years.
Richard Chadwick brings his “can-do” attitude to Fusion Films. His variety of TV experience complements the film, drama & advertising backgrounds of his business partners, Chris Burton and Phil Hawkins.
